The photo never leaves your device. The only network requests after the page loads are for the face and background models, analytics, and embedded videos.
Cropping, face measurement, background replacement and JPEG encoding all run in the tab you have open. The editor uses MediaPipe face landmarks and a selfie segmenter. Those model files are downloaded from Google's public model host and jsDelivr the first time you use the tool, then cached. Your photo is not part of that request.
Open DevTools, choose the Network panel, and filter by Fetch/XHR. Upload a photo and export it. You should see model files if they were not cached yet, and no request whose body is your image. There is no upload endpoint on this site. The /api/feedback route accepts a written note, not a photo.
The Content-Security-Policy connect-src lists this site, analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and the two model hosts. It does not list an image-upload host. That header is the machine-readable version of the privacy claim.
